# How to connect

> How to connect the Targeting Gates data source to Adriel: retrieve the Ad Performance API CSV URL, whitelist Adriel's IPs, and import daily campaign performance.

Targeting Gates is an advertising platform for campaign delivery and audience targeting. Connecting it brings daily campaign performance into Adriel dashboards, where it can sit alongside other channels for cross-channel reporting.

## Before you connect

The following are required:

* A Targeting Gates account with API access enabled.
* The Ad Performance API CSV URL. On the Targeting Gates platform, go to **Home → Client Admin → Ad Performance API → API URL → CSV Format**, set the **Status** option to **Use**, and click **Save**. This produces the CSV URL that Adriel reads.
* Adriel's IP addresses whitelisted on the Targeting Gates side so the CSV URL is reachable. Use the IP list linked from the Targeting Gates admin panel.

## Connect Targeting Gates

    On the **Data Sources** page, search for **Targeting Gates** and select it.

    In the data source settings, paste the CSV URL retrieved from the Ad Performance API into the **CSV URL** field.

  <Step title="Name and submit">
    Set a **Name** that identifies the data source; it defaults to **Targeting Gates**. Click **Submit** to complete the connection. Initial data can take up to one business day to appear.

## What gets imported

The connector imports daily campaign performance in the account's reporting currency, including campaign, creative, and conversion metrics. Field names are provided in both Korean and English.

## Troubleshooting

    Credentials are most often rejected when API access has not been provisioned at the account level. Confirm with the account team that API access is enabled before retrying.

  <Accordion title="IP permission error and the data source is disabled">
    Targeting Gates rejects requests from addresses that are not on its allow list, which disables the data source. Whitelist Adriel's IP addresses in the Targeting Gates admin panel, then reconnect.

  <Accordion title="Backfill returns no rows">
    If the initial backfill completes with no data, check that the connected account has active campaigns within the requested period and that reporting permissions cover all relevant campaigns.
