# How to connect

> How to connect the Walmart Connect data source to Adriel: grant partner access in Walmart, enter the advertiser ID and name, and import retail media performance.

Walmart Connect is Walmart's retail media advertising platform for sponsored-product, sponsored-brand, and display advertising across Walmart.com and the Walmart app. Connecting it brings advertiser, campaign, ad group, ad item, and keyword performance into Adriel dashboards, so Walmart retail media can be compared alongside Amazon and other retail media platforms.

## Before you connect

The following are required:

* A Walmart Ad Center account with **Admin-level access**.
* Partner access granted to Adriel in Walmart. In the **API Partners** section of Walmart's advertising documentation, add Adriel as a Walmart API Partner and grant at least read access. Read access covers reporting and analytics; write access is required to also use ad creation features and lets any partner with write access view and edit every campaign in the account.
* The Walmart-issued **Advertiser ID** and exact **Advertiser Name** for the account. Record the Advertiser Name on its own, without appending the advertiser type or any other detail.

## What gets imported

The connector pulls advertiser, campaign, ad group, ad item, and keyword performance from Walmart Connect at daily granularity in USD. Metrics include spend, impressions, clicks, orders, attributed sales, and units sold, alongside derived rates such as CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, and ROAS. The initial backfill covers 89 days of history.
