# How to connect

> How to connect the Yelp data source to Adriel: enter a Yelp API key and business ID, then verify daily advertising performance.

Yelp is a discovery platform for local businesses and a self-serve advertising surface for service-based and small-business advertisers. Connecting it brings daily advertising performance for a Yelp business listing into Adriel dashboards, including ad impressions, ad clicks, ad spend, and lead events such as phone calls, direction requests, and reservations.

## Before you connect

The following are required:

* A **Yelp API key**.
* A **Yelp Business API ID** — typically a 22-character Yelp Business ID or alias.
* A business with at least one review. Data connection is available only for businesses that meet this condition.

Both the API key and the Business API ID are provided by the assigned Yelp representative, or by contacting `partner-support@yelp.com`. To connect several businesses, request the full list of business IDs from the Yelp representative and create one data source per ID.

  <Step title="Enter the business ID">
    Enter the **Yelp Business API ID** and click **Submit**. Enter one business ID per data source; to add more locations, repeat the connection for each ID.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Initial data availability can take one to three business days after the connection is created.

## What gets imported

The connector pulls daily advertising performance for the connected Yelp business location, reported in USD. Metrics include ad impressions, ad clicks, ad spend, phone calls, direction requests, reservations, and review counts.

For the complete list of metrics and breakdowns, see the [Yelp data reference](/data-sources/o-z/yelp/data-reference).
