Before you connect
The following are required:- A Basis account.
- The Snowflake details for the Basis data share: username, account, database, role, warehouse, and private key.
- The Snowflake private key for the Basis account. Follow Snowflake’s key-pair authentication documentation to generate or retrieve it before starting.
Connect Basis

Open Basis in Data Sources
On the Data Sources page, search for Basis and select it.

Enter the Snowflake credentials
Fill in the six required connection fields for the Snowflake account being connected:
- Username: the Snowflake account username.
- Account: the full Snowflake account URL (for example,
https://123adriel.snowflakecomputing.com). - Database: the Snowflake database name.
- Role: the Snowflake role assigned (for example,
ADRIEL_USER_2025). - Warehouse: the Snowflake warehouse where the data is stored (for example,
ADRIEL_WH). - Private Key: the key retrieved before connecting.

Submit the credentials
Click Submit to proceed to the data source settings.

Configure the data source
Fill in the two required fields and one optional field:
- Name (required): an identifiable name for the data source.
- Data Type (required): choose one data type from the dropdown.
- Brand Name Filter (optional): filter data by brand name. This filter is case-sensitive, so exact capitalization is required. For example, entering
Adrielaggregates only rows labeledAdriel.

Submit the connection
Click Submit to complete the connection. Initial data availability can take up to one business day.
What gets imported
Daily campaign performance is imported in the account’s reporting currency, at the level of the selected report type. For the complete list of metrics and breakdowns, see the Basis data reference.Troubleshooting

Newly issued credentials can take a short period to activate on the Basis side. If the connection fails immediately after credentials are issued, wait a few minutes and retry before re-contacting the Basis account team.
No data appears after connecting
No data appears after connecting
Programmatic campaigns sometimes report with a delay of several hours. If no rows appear after the initial backfill, confirm that the account has active campaigns within the requested date range.
