Facebook Page Public retrieves publicly available data from any Facebook Page — page profile (followers count, about, cover, profile picture, website) and recent feed posts (text, link, reactions, comments) — via the Facebook Graph API. No page ownership or ad-account access is required, which makes it suitable for tracking competitor pages alongside owned pages. Each data source maps to one Facebook Page URL, so adding multiple pages means repeating the setup once per page.

Before you connect

The following are required:
  • A Facebook account used to authorize the connector. No special permission on the target page is required.
  • The full Facebook Page URL for each page to track. Owned and external (competitor) pages both work.

Connect Facebook Page Public

1

Authorize a Facebook account

On the Data Sources page, search for Facebook Page Public and select it. Sign in to Facebook in the pop-up window using any active Facebook account, then click OK to authorize the requested read permissions.
2

Add the Facebook Page

On the data source settings, configure the page to connect:
  • Page — select a page from the dropdown if the authorizing account is connected to one.
  • Page URL — paste the full URL of the Facebook page to track. Internal (owned) and external (competitor) page URLs are both supported.
3

Submit

Click Submit to complete the connection. Initial data availability can take up to one business day. To track additional pages, repeat the setup for each page — one data source per page URL.

What gets imported

The connector maintains two cached tables per page. The page profile table holds name, about, followersCount, link, website, picture, and cover. The posts table holds up to the 100 most recent posts per page, each carrying reaction breakdowns (Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, Angry, Care), comment count, share count, post text, post link, and post image. All fields are exposed under two category prefixes — facebookPublic: (the primary metric set) and influencer: (a cross-platform influencer-analytics view of the same underlying data) — and both appear on each row. The full cache is refreshed daily at 18:00 UTC. For the complete list of metrics and breakdowns, see the Facebook Page Public data reference.

Troubleshooting

The post fetch is capped at the 100 most recent posts per page. Older posts are not pulled by the connector.
Some Graph API fields (such as affiliation, company_overview, and description) are not consistently returned by Facebook for all pages and are intentionally not requested. Only name, about, followers_count, link, picture, cover, and website are guaranteed.
The URL must be a valid public Facebook Page URL. Private profiles, groups, and event pages are not supported. Verify the page resolves to a facebook.com/{pageName} or facebook.com/{pageId} URL in a browser before reconnecting.
