Kakao Keyword Ads is the search-keyword advertising platform operated by Kakao, alongside Naver Search Ads and Google Ads as one of the three pillars of Korean search advertising. Connecting it imports keyword-level performance, the full campaign hierarchy, and Kakao Pixel conversion events into Adriel dashboards. Cost is reported in Korean won (KRW); workspaces using a different display currency receive auto-converted values.

Before you connect

The following are required:
  • A Kakao Business account with admin access to the Keyword Ads account being connected.
  • Permission to grant the connector read access to keyword data through Kakao Business OAuth.
  • A live Kakao Pixel on the destination site or app, if conversion data should be imported.

What gets imported

The connector imports the full campaign hierarchy (ad account → campaign → ad group → ad → keyword), daily performance metrics (impressions, clicks, cost, and derived rates), and Kakao Pixel conversion events across both 1-day and 7-day attribution windows. Breakdowns cover device target, placement, hour of day, and date. Cost is exposed in two variants — with and without 10% Korean VAT — so widgets can match either accounting convention. For the complete list of metrics, breakdowns, and limits, see the Kakao Keyword Ads data reference.

Troubleshooting

Kakao’s API does not accept aggregate queries spanning all campaigns at once. Ad-set-level widgets without a campaign filter can exceed the API’s query limit on large accounts. Add a campaign filter to the widget to resolve.
Two cost metrics are exposed: one with 10% Korean VAT included and one without. Both reflect what Kakao reports. Choose the variant that matches the figures being compared.
If the reconnecting Kakao account does not have access to the original ad account, Kakao returns a no-permission error and the connection is disconnected automatically. Reconnect using a Kakao account with access to the same ad account.
Kakao enforces a 62-day maximum lookback when hour-of-day breakdown is requested. Daily-granularity queries can go much further back.
Re-establish the connection from Connections > Kakao Keyword Ads > Reconnect to refresh credentials.
