Why do my campaign and ad-set filters return the same rows?
In Kakao Message, the campaign level and the ad-set level are the same object: a KakaoTalk channel profile. Kakao Message organizes broadcast message ads under KakaoTalk channels rather than under separate campaign and ad-set structures, so Adriel maps the channel onto both the campaign and the ad-set level of its standard four-level model. As a result, grouping or filtering by campaign returns the same channel rows as grouping or filtering by ad set. To break performance down further, use the Ad breakdown, which resolves to each individual broadcast message ad.Why don’t I see impressions and reach like other ad connectors?
Kakao Message reports message-ad activity, not display-ad activity, so it does not expose the impressions and reach metrics that display connectors provide. Instead it reports message-specific activity: how many messages were sent, how many were opened, and how many link clicks each message generated. To keep widgets comparable across sources, message opens populate the standard impressions column and link clicks populate the standard clicks column. Display-ad metrics such as reach are not available on this data source; for Kakao Moment display campaigns, see the Kakao Moment data reference. Why is my ad account listed with a _message suffix?
The Kakao Message ad account carries a _message suffix so that it stays distinct from the Kakao Moment display-ad account under the same Kakao Moment account. Because the message-ad and display-ad variants can both be connected for the same underlying account, the suffix prevents the two ad accounts from colliding and keeps their metrics separate. The suffix is expected and does not indicate a configuration problem.
Why is my spend reported in Korean won (KRW)?
Kakao Moment is a Korean advertising platform and reports spend in Korean won, so all currency values on this data source are provided in KRW. Alongside reported spend, a VAT-inclusive spend metric is available that grosses the figure up by 10% VAT. For the full metric list and how each currency value is produced, see the Kakao Message data reference. Why do I only see 1-day and 7-day conversion numbers?
Conversion metrics on Kakao Message are attributed across two windows, 1-day and 7-day, so each conversion event appears as a separate 1-day and 7-day variant. Purchase additionally carries a conversion-value variant in each window. Sends, opens, and clicks are not windowed and report a single value. The available conversion events and their exact variants are listed in the Kakao Message data reference. Can I break clicks down by where they happened in the message?
Yes. Beyond total link clicks, Kakao Message reports a set of placement-level click metrics that count clicks on individual elements of the message layout, such as the title, body text, media, list items, action buttons, coupons, and carousel slides. Adding these placement metrics to a widget shows which parts of a message drove engagement. Total link clicks remain mapped to the standard clicks column, while the placement metrics sit alongside it. The complete list of placement metrics is in the Kakao Message data reference.Related
