Why don’t my Klaviyo numbers match Klaviyo’s in-app campaign reports?

The Klaviyo data source filters and groups by the time each event occurred, not by the send date of the campaign or flow. Klaviyo’s in-app reports are calculated on send date, so the two can differ. For example, with a date range of December 1 to December 31, an email sent on November 28 still contributes to the December results if its opens, clicks, or conversions land inside that window. The send happened in November, but the events fall in December. This makes the metric-aggregate source well suited to flexible cross-metric analysis alongside paid-media spend. For campaign and flow figures that line up with Klaviyo’s UI, use the Klaviyo Reporting data reference, which aligns to send date.

Why do my Klaviyo metrics differ from the Klaviyo Reporting source in Adriel?

Adriel offers two Klaviyo data sources, and they answer different questions:

• Klaviyo (this source) reports any event metric in the account, aggregated by event time and broken down by event property. It is built for flexible cross-metric analysis.
• Klaviyo Reporting reports a fixed set of form, flow, and campaign statistics aligned to send date, matching what Klaviyo’s in-app reports show.

Because one aggregates by event time and the other by send date, the same account can show different totals in each. Neither is wrong — they measure on different timelines. Why is my Klaviyo data missing beyond a year back?

The Klaviyo data source fetches at most one year of data per query. When a date range asks for more than a year, the request is truncated to the most recent year, so older dates return no data. To review a longer span, split the analysis into separate windows of a year or less. For the exact caps, see the Klaviyo data reference.

What does the “Unassigned” value mean on a Klaviyo breakdown?

When a record has no value for the selected breakdown property, it is grouped under the bucket Unassigned rather than being dropped. For example, breaking down by campaign name places events that carry no campaign, such as some flow or transactional events, under Unassigned. This is expected behavior, and it keeps totals complete: the Unassigned rows still count toward the metric even though they lack a value for that breakdown. To narrow the view, apply a widget filter or choose a breakdown that every relevant record carries.

Why does a large Klaviyo dashboard load slowly the first time?

The Klaviyo data source queries live on each dashboard load, and requests are throttled to protect the account’s API access. A single request carries a limited number of sub-queries, and each sub-query returns one page of results. A dashboard with many Klaviyo widgets, metrics, or breakdowns therefore issues more requests, which take longer to complete on the first render. A few ways to keep it responsive:

• Split a very large dashboard into focused dashboards rather than one dense dashboard.
• Reduce the number of distinct metric-and-breakdown combinations on a single dashboard.
• Narrow the date range when the full window isn’t needed.

If a very high-cardinality breakdown returns a truncated result, splitting the widget across narrower filters returns the remaining rows.

Why is a metric I track in Klaviyo missing from Adriel?

The available metrics come from the connected account’s own Klaviyo metric catalog, and each metric is offered in three aggregations: count, unique, and value. A metric that the account does not track in Klaviyo does not appear in Adriel, and the value aggregation is only meaningful for metrics that carry a monetary value, such as Placed Order. If an expected metric is absent, confirm it is tracked in the source Klaviyo account and that at least one event has been recorded for it.
