Notion is a workspace tool where teams keep structured data in databases such as project trackers, content calendars, and pipeline boards. Connecting it imports the rows of a single Notion database into an Adriel data source, where each page becomes a row and the database’s properties become the available fields for charting alongside marketing-platform sources.

Before you connect

The following are required:
  • A Notion internal integration created in the target workspace, and its Internal Integration Secret (the API key). Integrations are created from the Notion workspace settings under Connections; the secret is generated on the integration’s page.
  • The integration shared with each database to import. Notion databases are private to an integration until they are explicitly connected to it, so a database that has not been shared will not appear in the picker.
  • A title on each database. Databases without a title are skipped and do not appear in the selection list.

Select the Notion connector

On the Data Sources page, search for Notion and select it.

Enter the integration API key

Paste the Notion Internal Integration Secret into the API key field and confirm. Adriel authenticates against the Notion workspace using this key; it is stored securely and used to read the databases the integration has been shared with.

Select the database

Choose the database to connect from the list. Only databases the integration has been added to, and that have a title, are shown. Multiple databases can be selected — Adriel creates one data source per selected database.

Submit

Click Submit to complete the connection. Notion data is queried live on the first dashboard load rather than pre-synced, so rows appear as soon as a widget built on the data source is opened.

What gets imported

Each page in the selected database becomes a row, and the database’s properties become the available fields. Because Notion is a free-format source, the fields are not a fixed catalog — they are derived from the selected database’s schema at query time, with numeric properties mapped to metrics and text, select, and date properties mapped to breakdowns. Troubleshooting

The picker lists only databases the integration has been added to. Open the database in Notion, use its connection or access menu, and invite the Adriel integration to that database or its parent page. Databases without a title are also skipped, so give the database a title first. Reopen the picker to refresh the list after granting access.
Selecting multiple databases creates one separate data source per database rather than a single combined source. Each appears as its own Notion data source on the same connection and is added to a dashboard independently.
Authentication uses a static internal-integration key with no automatic refresh. If the integration is deleted or its secret is regenerated or revoked in Notion, the existing key stops working and the data source must be re-authorized with a new key. Update the key on the connection to restore access.
