Why do I need a separate data source for each site and search engine combination?

Each SE Ranking data source in Adriel is scoped to one tracked site on one search engine — for example, example.com on Google United States. SE Ranking reports keyword positions per site and per engine, so a single Adriel data source holds one site plus one engine pair. The site and the engine are chosen in two steps when the data source is created: first the tracked site, then a search engine available for that site. How do I track the same site across multiple search engines?

Create one data source per site plus engine combination. Tracking example.com on Google United States and Google United Kingdom, for example, means two SE Ranking data sources. Both can be added to the same dashboard as separate widgets, or combined in a single widget using the Data source name breakdown to keep each site plus engine pair distinct. Why is my search volume the same across every day in the date range?

Search volume is a keyword-level figure, not a daily one. SE Ranking returns an estimated monthly search volume for each keyword, and that value is repeated alongside every daily position row for the same keyword. For this reason search volume defaults to max aggregation rather than sum: summing would multiply the monthly figure by the number of days in the range and inflate the total. When building a widget, keep search volume on max so the reported number stays correct. Position, position change, and price are true per-day values and aggregate normally.

How far back does my SE Ranking history go?

Adriel imports up to 180 days of keyword-position history when the data source is first connected. Older history from SE Ranking is not imported. Because Adriel caches the data, the longer the data source stays connected, the more historical data is stored. For the refresh schedule, see the SE Ranking data reference.

Why does my daily report stop showing data beyond a few months?

Each query has a maximum range that depends on the breakdown. A daily breakdown is limited to 93 days per query, and a weekly breakdown to one year; overall historical coverage reaches back 180 days from today. Widening a daily widget beyond 93 days truncates the data outside that window. To cover a longer span in a single widget, switch to a weekly, monthly, or the Auto Time breakdown.

Can I combine SE Ranking with my other SEO data sources?

Yes. SE Ranking data is provided as a generic table, so it can be blended with other SEO data sources through blend data settings. This is useful for comparing SE Ranking rankings against another rank tracker or against organic-search reporting on the same dashboard.
