Why can’t I change the report type after connecting?

The report type is chosen when the data source is created and is stored on the connection permanently. Each report type maps to a distinct Amazon SP-API report family — Sales and Traffic, Sales and Traffic by Child or Parent ASIN, Orders, or Returns — and every family returns its own schema, file format, and set of fields. Because the available fields are populated from that specific report after the first successful sync, switching types in place would leave the existing data and widgets pointing at a schema that no longer matches. To report on a different type, connect a new Amazon Seller Central data source and select the report type needed. The two data sources then sync independently, each with its own fields and breakdowns. For the full report-type list, see the Amazon Seller Central data reference.

Why do my order counts differ between report types?

Order-related numbers come from different report families that count different things, so they are not expected to match.
  • The Orders report stores one row per order line, attributed by the Amazon purchase-date field. Counts here reflect individual order lines.
  • The Sales and Traffic reports store aggregated figures such as unitsOrdered, totalOrderItems, and orderedProductSales at date or ASIN granularity, not one row per order.
Each report type is stored in its own isolated table, and figures cannot be joined across types within a single data source. When two totals need to line up, compare metrics from the same report type rather than across families. The metric definitions for each type are listed in the Amazon Seller Central data reference.

Why don’t my most recent orders show up right away?

Amazon Seller Central reads from a cached daily snapshot rather than querying Amazon live, so newly placed orders are not immediate — they appear after the next scheduled sync. The sync also re-fetches the most recent days on each run, so figures for the last day or two can still adjust as Amazon finalizes them. This is expected behavior, not missing data. For the exact refresh schedule and rolling window, see the Amazon Seller Central data reference.

How much historical data is available when I first connect?

Adriel imports up to the last 90 days when the data source is first connected. Because Adriel caches the data, the longer the data source stays connected, the more historical data is stored, so coverage grows day by day beyond that initial window. Data older than the initial import window at the time of connection cannot be pulled in retroactively.

Why is Amazon Seller Central not available in my workspace?

Amazon Seller Central is a limited release while the integration is being finalized with Amazon, so it is enabled for a selected set of workspaces rather than every account. A workspace that does not yet have it will not see it in the connector list. Availability expands as the rollout progresses; the remaining data sources already available can be used in the meantime.

Why did my connection disconnect with a permission error?

When Amazon rejects the connected marketplace for the signed-in seller account, the connection is marked disconnected and returns EXTERNAL_SERVICE_PERMISSION_MISSING. This maps to Amazon’s Report rejected for this client. Some of the marketplaces are not allowed for this Report response, which means the account does not currently have report access for that marketplace. Reconnecting the data source after confirming that the Amazon seller account has reporting access to the selected marketplace usually resolves it. See How to connect Amazon Seller Central to Adriel for the reconnection steps. If the error persists after a successful reconnect, email support@adriel.com with the marketplace, the seller account, and the affected dashboard URL.
