Why does my Awin data only go back so far?
Adriel imports up to the last 180 days of daily history when the Awin data source is first connected. Because Adriel caches the data, the longer the data source stays connected, the more historical data is stored, so coverage extends beyond the initial window over time. Days before the first import are not pulled in retroactively. For the import window and how retained data accumulates, see Data history and retention. Why do my pending commissions and sales change after they first appear?
Awin reports transactions across separate commission statuses — pending, confirmed, bonus, and declined — and the publisher report carries a count, sale value, and commission for each. A transaction typically starts as pending and is later validated by the advertiser or network, at which point it moves to confirmed or declined. As those statuses settle upstream, the pending, confirmed, and declined totals for recent dates shift accordingly, so figures for the most recent period are expected to move before they stabilize. The most recent days are re-fetched on each sync, which is what brings the updated statuses in. For the refresh schedule and the full list of status metrics, see the Awin data reference.Should I use the publisher report or the transaction report?
Awin exposes two report shapes, and the right one depends on the question being asked.- The publisher report aggregates impressions, clicks, and commission-status totals per publisher per day. It suits performance trends, publisher comparisons, and rolled-up commission tracking.
- The transaction report exposes one row per individual transaction, with attributes such as order reference, voucher code, commission status, and the click, transaction, and validation dates. It suits order-level detail and investigating specific conversions.
Why can’t I combine Awin with my other ad platforms in one widget?
Awin is a generic data source. Its data can be viewed in a generic table, but it does not natively combine with other connector types unless they share the same breakdowns. To report Awin alongside other platforms on the same dashboard, place both data sources on the dashboard and use Blend Data settings to align them on a shared breakdown, such as date or campaign. Why does a single Awin transaction show more than one sale amount?
Affiliate transactions can be recorded and settled in different currencies, so the transaction report exposes the sale amount alongside the original sale amount in the source currency (originalSaleAmount) and the amount in the originally tracked currency (trackedCurrencyAmount), each paired with its own currency breakdown. These are the same sale expressed in different currency contexts rather than separate sales. The commission amount is reported the same way. Full definitions are in the Awin data reference.
