Google Ad Manager (GAM) is Google’s ad-serving and revenue-management platform for publishers. The connector pulls one pre-configured saved report at a time from the Google Ad Manager REST API, polls until the asynchronous report run completes, then caches the resulting rows for dashboard queries.

Before you connect

The following are required:
  • Access to a Google account with permission to view the target Google Ad Manager network and its saved reports.
  • At least one saved report configured inside Google Ad Manager that should flow into dashboards. Metrics and breakdowns are determined entirely by the saved report definition — the connector does not impose its own schema.

Connect Google Ad Manager

1

Authorize a Google account

On the Data Sources page, search for Google Ad Manager and select it. Click Sign in with Google in the pop-up and sign in with the Google account that has access to the target GAM network. Tick every consent checkbox on the Google permissions screen and click Continue to authorize the connector. Skipping a checkbox prevents networks and reports from loading.
2

Select the network and report

On the data source settings, fill in the two required fields. For Network, select the GAM network whose report should be connected. For Report, select one saved report from the chosen network.
3

Submit

Click Submit to complete the connection. The connector triggers an initial report run; depending on report size, completion can take from a few seconds up to roughly twenty minutes, and the first sync may complete within one business day.

What gets imported

The rows returned by the saved GAM report — at the exact metric and breakdown granularity defined inside GAM — are cached as the data source. Schema changes inside the report, such as added or removed fields, are reflected on the following sync without any reconfiguration. Each report becomes its own data source, so multiple reports require multiple data source connections. For the complete metric and breakdown model and refresh cadence, see the Google Ad Manager data reference.

Troubleshooting

The GAM report run completed with an error from Google’s side — usually because the report definition references invalid fields, exceeds row limits, or the network changed permissions. Open the report inside Google Ad Manager and verify that it runs successfully there before reconnecting.
GAM returned HTTP 429. The sync fails immediately with no automatic retry; the next scheduled sync will retry on its own.
The report may have been deleted, or its permissions may have changed in GAM. Verify the report still exists and that the authorized Google account still has access. Reconnect once the report is restored.
The refresh token was revoked — usually because the Google account password changed or access was revoked. The data source is automatically disconnected. Reconnect via ConnectionsGoogle Ad ManagerReconnect.
