KakaoTalk Channel (카카오톡 채널) is a Korean messaging platform used by businesses and creators to reach followers on KakaoTalk. Connecting it brings public follower (friend) counts for a KakaoTalk channel into Adriel dashboards, tracked day by day from the connection date onward.

Before you connect

The following are required:
  • A public KakaoTalk Channel to track.
  • The channel ID, taken from the channel’s public URL. The channel ID is the last part of the URL — for example, if the URL is https://pf.kakao.com/_ABCDE, the channel ID is _ABCDE.
No login or authorization is needed. This is a public data source, so only the channel ID is required to connect.

Enter a connection name

On the Data Sources page, search for KakaoTalk Channel and select it. In Connection Name, enter a label for this connection. The name helps differentiate between multiple sets of credentials.

Enter the channel ID

In Channel ID(s), enter the KakaoTalk Channel ID. The channel ID is the last part of the channel URL — for example, if the URL is https://pf.kakao.com/_ABCDE, enter _ABCDE.

Submit

Click Submit to complete the connection. Follower counts begin accumulating from the connection date; there is no historical backfill.

What gets imported

The connector reads the public KakaoTalk channel profile and imports the channel’s follower (friend) count, refreshed on a regular cadence. Data is tracked at the channel level by day, and the day-over-day change in follower count is computed by Adriel. Troubleshooting

The channel ID is likely in the wrong format. Enter only the last part of the channel URL, including the leading underscore — for example, _ABCDE from https://pf.kakao.com/_ABCDE. Do not paste the full URL or the display name of the channel.
KakaoTalk Channel does not load historical data on connection. Follower counts accumulate day by day starting from the date the channel is connected, so early dates will be empty until data builds up.
