What’s the difference between the Klaviyo and Klaviyo Reporting connectors?

Adriel offers two separate Klaviyo data sources, and they attribute data differently. The base Klaviyo connector attributes results to the event date — the day a conversion or interaction actually happened. An order placed on one day can be attributed to an email sent on an earlier day, so totals can differ from what Klaviyo’s own reporting screens show. The Klaviyo Reporting connector reads Klaviyo’s series reports for forms, flows, and campaigns and attributes results to the send date, matching the numbers in Klaviyo’s reporting UI. For reconciliation against the Klaviyo dashboard, Klaviyo Reporting is the connector to use. For event-time analysis, the base connector fits better. See the Klaviyo data reference for the event-time behavior and the Klaviyo Reporting data reference for the send-date behavior.

Why can’t I change my Klaviyo Reporting Type after connecting?

The Type — Forms, Flows, or Campaigns — is chosen when the data source is created and is fixed from then on. Each Type reads a different report and exposes a different set of statistics and breakdowns, so the schema is locked to the Type selected at connection time. To report on a different Type, create a separate Klaviyo Reporting data source and select that Type during setup. Multiple Klaviyo Reporting data sources can coexist and be combined on the same dashboard. Connection steps are in How to connect Klaviyo Reporting to Adriel.

Why are my conversion metrics blank?

Conversion fields — Conversions, Conversion value, Revenue per recipient, Average order value, and the related rates — apply only to the Flows and Campaigns Types, and only when a Conversion Metric was selected during setup. The Conversion Metric (commonly Placed Order) is chosen from the account’s metric catalog at connection time and, like the Type, cannot be changed afterward. If a Flows or Campaigns data source was connected without a Conversion Metric, these fields return no value. The fix is to create a new data source and select the intended Conversion Metric during setup. The Forms Type does not use a Conversion Metric and does not expose these fields.

Why do my Klaviyo Reporting numbers still differ from Klaviyo’s UI?

Klaviyo Reporting is built to reconcile against the Klaviyo reporting UI, but a few timing and configuration factors can still produce a gap.
Klaviyo Reporting retrieves a fixed window of historic data when the data source is first connected. Reports for dates before that initial window are not available. Because Adriel caches report data, the longer the data source stays connected, the more history accumulates in the dashboard. See the Klaviyo Reporting data reference for the exact initial window.
Report data is read from a daily cache, so very recent sends or edits may not appear until the next scheduled refresh. The refresh schedule is documented in the Klaviyo Reporting data reference.
Conversion figures are calculated against the Conversion Metric selected at connection time. If the Klaviyo report being compared uses a different conversion metric, the conversion columns will not match. Confirm both are measuring the same metric.

Why did my Klaviyo Reporting sync stop partway through the day?

Klaviyo caps how many report requests each data source can make per day. Very large accounts, or very wide date ranges, can reach that daily quota before every report is fetched. When the quota is reached, syncing pauses and resumes automatically after the quota resets. To reduce the chance of hitting the cap, narrow the dashboard date range, or split heavy reporting across separate data sources. Campaigns reports are fetched one day at a time, so wide Campaigns date ranges consume the daily allowance faster than the same range on Forms or Flows. The documented request limits are listed in the Klaviyo Reporting data reference. If a sync appears stuck for more than a full day, email support@adriel.com with the data source name and the affected dashboard URL.
