LinkedIn Ads is LinkedIn’s B2B-focused paid advertising platform, supporting Sponsored Content, Sponsored Messaging, Text Ads, Dynamic Ads, and Lead Gen Forms across the LinkedIn feed and inbox. Connecting it brings ad accounts, campaigns, and ads into Adriel dashboards alongside clicks, impressions, spend, engagement metrics, LinkedIn-specific metrics (Approximate Member Reach, Landing Page Clicks, One-Click Leads), and conversion events tracked via the LinkedIn Insight Tag.

Before you connect

The following are required:
  • A LinkedIn account with at least Viewer role on the LinkedIn ad account being connected. See LinkedIn’s access-level reference for the exact role mapping. If the account lacks Viewer access, request a delegated share from someone who has it.
  • A LinkedIn ad account associated with a Business Manager or LinkedIn Page administered by the connecting user.

Connect LinkedIn Ads

1

Authorize a LinkedIn account

On the Data Sources page, search for LinkedIn Ads and select it. Sign in to LinkedIn in the pop-up using an account with access to the target ad accounts, then click Allow to grant Adriel read access to the ad account. LinkedIn shows the exact scope list on the consent screen.
2

Select the ad account

On the data source settings, choose the Ad account to connect.
3

Submit

Click Submit to complete the connection. The initial sync runs in the background — data typically appears within one business day.

What gets imported

The connector imports the full campaign hierarchy (ad account → campaign → ad), standard performance and engagement metrics, LinkedIn-specific metrics, video metrics, and conversion events tracked via the LinkedIn Insight Tag. For each conversion event, count, value, CPA, ROAS, and CVR variants are generated. For the complete list of metrics, breakdown coverage, and known LinkedIn API limits, see the LinkedIn Ads data reference.

Troubleshooting

LinkedIn has no native ad set entity, so the connector’s campaign and ad set levels return the same LinkedIn campaigns. Identical names are expected behavior.
LinkedIn’s API drops the filter when 20 or more campaigns, groups, or creatives are selected and returns account-level data instead. Reducing the selection or applying a breakdown is the right approach for finer granularity past that threshold.
LinkedIn returns conversion data via a separate query joined to the main metrics. When a date and breakdown combination has conversions but no matching metric row, a stub row with empty metrics is synthesized so the conversion data is preserved.
LinkedIn’s company-name lookup requires that the connecting LinkedIn user be a member of that organization. Companies without that membership fall back to the raw URN as the label.
Auth tokens occasionally expire. Reconnect via Connections → LinkedIn Ads → Reconnect and sign in again with the same LinkedIn account.
