Why do opens and clicks keep changing for an old campaign?

Report data is read from Mailchimp on demand each time a dashboard loads, so a campaign’s totals reflect the current state in Mailchimp rather than a frozen snapshot. When a recipient opens an email or clicks a link days after the original send, Mailchimp attributes that event to the original send date. As a result, the open and click counts for a campaign that was sent last week can continue to rise, and those increases land on the historical send date rather than on the day the engagement happened. This is expected behavior for late engagement, not a data error.

Why do my Mailchimp revenue and order metrics show zero?

Orders, Revenue, and Spent are e-commerce metrics that Mailchimp only populates when its e-commerce tracking is connected to a store. If the account has no store attached, Mailchimp returns zero for these metrics, and the dashboard shows zero in turn. Confirm that the store is connected inside Mailchimp and that recent campaigns have attributed purchases there. Send-level and engagement metrics such as Email sent, Opens, and Link clicks are unaffected and continue to report normally. For the full metric list, see the Mailchimp data reference.

Why did my Mailchimp data source disconnect?

Mailchimp issues a permanent access token and does not provide a refresh token, so the connection stays valid until the token is revoked. If the token is revoked inside Mailchimp — for example, the app authorization is removed, or the account password or access changes — subsequent reads fail and the data source disconnects automatically. The fix is to reconnect the data source and re-authorize access. See How to connect Mailchimp to Adriel. If reconnection itself fails with a genuine error, email support@adriel.com with the affected data source name and the error shown.

Why don’t my open and click rates match a simple total across campaigns?

Open rate and Click rate are aggregated using the median across the campaigns in view, while count metrics such as Opens and Link clicks are summed. Because a median is not a weighted total, the displayed rate will not equal total unique opens divided by total deliveries across a date range. To compare like for like, view the rate for a single campaign, or build the ratio from the summed count metrics with a custom metric.

Can I break down Mailchimp data by audience, segment, or individual member?

Reporting is campaign-level. Each row corresponds to a campaign send, and campaigns can be grouped by attributes such as title, subject, from name, type, status, and send time. Audience, segment, and individual member engagement are not available as breakdowns or metrics. To compare performance across audiences, filter or group campaigns by their campaign-level attributes instead. The available breakdowns are listed in the Mailchimp data reference.

How do I report on more than one Mailchimp account?

Each account selected during connection becomes its own separate data source in Adriel. To report across several accounts, connect each one and then add its widgets to the same dashboard, or combine the data sources within a single widget where the widget type supports multiple sources. Metrics are standardized across email-marketing connectors, so campaign, send, and engagement figures aggregate consistently alongside one another.

Common issues

Mailchimp’s API does not provide date-range-scoped reports — it only exposes the current cumulative campaign result. Adriel’s Mailchimp values match what the API returns for the campaign as a whole, so filtering by dashboard date range has no effect on Mailchimp performance metrics.
