Answers to common questions about how the Mobon V3 data source behaves in Adriel, plus how to read its less obvious metrics.

What’s the difference between Mobon and Mobon V3?

Mobon V3 is the current generation of the Mobon connector; the earlier Mobon connector is being deprecated in its favor. The two differ in how they authenticate and how much history they retain.

• Sign-in. Mobon V3 connects with a Mobon account user ID and password through the Mobon API Center. The legacy Mobon connector used an API key instead.
• History. Mobon V3 imports up to 5 years of daily history on first connection. The legacy connector kept a shorter window.

Why do I see separate Mobile and Web metrics instead of a device breakdown?

Mobon V3 does not expose device as a breakdown. Instead, each performance metric ships as three separate metrics: an overall total, a mobile-only variant, and a web-only variant. For example, spend is available as Expended Amount, Mobile Expended Amount, and Web Expended Amount. To compare device performance, add the mobile and web variants of a metric side by side rather than looking for a device breakdown. The full list of variants is in the Mobon V3 data reference.

What’s the difference between the Direct, Session, and Browser Session conversion and sales metrics?

Mobon reports conversions and sales under more than one attribution model, and Adriel surfaces each one as its own metric. Alongside the overall Conversion Count and Total Sales, there are Direct, Session, and Browser Session variants that reflect how Mobon attributes each conversion back to the ad. Because the totals count events differently, the variants are not meant to be added together. The right one depends on the attribution model the report is meant to reflect. How far back does my Mobon V3 data go?

Adriel imports up to 5 years (1,825 days) of daily history when the Mobon V3 data source is first connected. Because Adriel caches the data, the longer the data source stays connected, the more historical data is stored. Data older than the 5-year window is not available from Mobon. Why do deleted Mobon campaigns still appear in my reports?

Mobon V3 keeps historical data for elements that were later deleted on the Mobon platform. There is no automatic exclusion, so a campaign that ran and then was removed still contributes to totals for the dates it was active. To focus a widget on current activity, add a filter or a breakdown on the campaign fields and exclude the elements that are no longer relevant.

What currency are my Mobon V3 spend and sales figures in?

Monetary metrics such as Expended Amount, CPC, CPA, and the sales metrics come through in the currency of the Mobon account, which is typically Korean won (KRW) for this platform. Rate metrics like Click Rate and Conversion Rate are percentages, and ROAS is a ratio. If a dashboard uses a different base currency, Adriel applies the workspace conversion so figures display in the chosen currency.
