Pinterest Ads is Pinterest’s paid advertising platform, spanning promoted pins, shopping ads, and video ads across awareness, consideration, conversion, and catalog-sales objectives. Connecting it brings the full campaign hierarchy, standard performance and video metrics, and Pinterest-specific engagement and conversion events tracked through the Pinterest Tag into Adriel dashboards alongside other marketing sources.

Before you connect

The following are required:
  • A Pinterest Ads (Business) account with admin access on the target ad account.
  • An active Pinterest Tag deployed on destination pages, if conversion tracking is expected.
  • Authorization to grant read access on the Pinterest ad account during sign-in.

Connect Pinterest Ads

On the Data Sources page, search for Pinterest Ads and select it. Sign in to Pinterest in the pop-up window using an account with access to the target ad accounts, then approve read access on the requested permissions screen.
2

On the data source settings, choose the Ad Accounts to connect, then set the report attribution windows. Only the following 15 combinations are supported:
3

Submit

Click Submit to complete the connection. Initial data availability can take up to one business day.

What gets imported

The connector imports the full campaign hierarchy (ad account → campaign → ad group → ad), standard performance metrics (impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, spend, saves, outbound clicks), video views and 25/50/75/100% completions, and conversion events tracked through the Pinterest Tag, including revenue. Breakdowns for age, gender, location, OS/device, country, audience, platform placement, and search term are available at ad-account scope. For the complete list of metrics, breakdowns, and refresh cadence, see the Pinterest Ads data reference.

Troubleshooting

Revenue values are received from Pinterest in microdollars and converted automatically. A 0 value usually indicates the value parameter on the Pinterest Tag’s purchase event is missing or unset. The tag implementation should pass a numeric value on purchase.
Pinterest Ads is a cache-only connector; report data is served from the most recent scheduled snapshot rather than fetched live. The last few hours may not appear until the next refresh window completes.
Conversion events configured on the Pinterest ad account are imported automatically, but only currently active events surface in dashboards. Paused or deleted events do not appear.
Access tokens are renewed automatically from the stored refresh token. Persistent authentication errors usually indicate a revoked or expired refresh token. Open Connections > Pinterest Ads and click Reconnect.
