Why don’t my Salesforce report changes show up in Adriel right away?
Salesforce Reporting treats the selected report as a snapshot. Each sync re-runs the report and replaces the entire cached dataset, so rows added or changed in Salesforce become visible only after the next scheduled refresh — they are not reflected immediately. For the exact refresh schedule, see the Salesforce Reporting data reference. Why can’t I filter my Salesforce Reporting data source by date?
This data source has no date breakdown and no date-range filtering. The full report is imported as a single snapshot, so widgets cannot segment or filter it by date. To narrow the data to a date range, apply the appropriate date filter inside the Salesforce report itself before it is imported.A date column from the report can still be used as a breakdown to group rows. What is not available is Adriel’s standard date-range control, which relies on a date breakdown this data source does not provide.
Why is a number column from my report missing from the breakdown list?
Columns detected as numeric are exposed as metrics only, so they are deliberately kept out of the breakdown list to prevent measures from being grouped by accident. Any non-numeric column can be used as a breakdown. If a column that should be a label reads as numeric, it is likely that every value in the report is a plain number; adding a non-numeric character in Salesforce (for example, a prefix or code) makes the column available as a breakdown after the next refresh. Why did some of my report’s fields change or disappear?
The available metrics and breakdowns come entirely from the selected report’s columns, resolved fresh on each refresh. If the report’s columns are renamed, added, or removed in Salesforce, the data source’s fields change to match after the next refresh. Widgets built on a column that was removed or renamed can stop returning data. When editing a report that Adriel depends on, keeping column labels stable avoids breaking existing widgets. Can I combine Salesforce Reporting data with my other data sources?
Yes. The imported report can be viewed on its own in a table, and it can be combined with other data sources in two ways: when the data sources share a common breakdown, or through Blend Data settings when they do not. Blending is the general path for reporting on Salesforce data alongside connectors that do not share the same breakdown fields. Why did my Salesforce Reporting data source disconnect?
The connection relies on Salesforce authorization that can expire or be revoked. If that authorization is no longer valid — for example, the access was removed in Salesforce or the credential expired — the connector can no longer run the report, and the data source is disconnected automatically. Reconnecting restores it; see How to connect Salesforce Reporting for the re-authorization steps. If reconnecting does not resolve the issue, emailsupport@adriel.com with the affected data source and dashboard details.
