Why do the metrics and breakdowns available in Adriel change when I edit my report?
The Trade Desk My Report has no fixed catalog of fields. The schema is read directly from the columns of the linked report, so the available metrics and breakdowns mirror whatever the report contains. Adding a column in The Trade Desk makes the matching field appear in Adriel, and removing a column empties the matching field. Editing the report’s columns is the supported way to change what is available. Changes are not immediate: they take effect on the next sync after the export is regenerated. For the sync schedule, see the data reference. Why can I see creative-level and custom-conversion data here but not in the standard Trade Desk connector?
The two Trade Desk connectors use different data access models. The standard connector runs live queries against The Trade Desk’s reporting API and exposes a fixed metric set built around the campaign hierarchy. My Report instead ingests the full CSV export produced by The Trade Desk’s built-in report scheduler. Because the export carries every column configured in the report, My Report can surface ad-level (creative) metrics and custom-conversion metrics that the standard connector does not expose. For a platform with a fixed, standardized field set and a campaign hierarchy, use the standard Trade Desk connector instead. Why did my large report fail to import?
A single export that is too large may fail to import. The practical ceiling is roughly 400 MB per export, and Excel (.xls) exports larger than 10 MB cannot be processed at all.
The recommended fix is to reduce the size of each export rather than the total volume of data. Splitting one broad schedule into narrower schedules — for example by date range or by advertiser — keeps each export under the limit. For Excel exports over the limit, switching the report’s output format to CSV resolves the issue.
Why is my sync failing with a date-field error?
The Trade Desk My Report requires the linked report to include a date column, even though this source is not grouped by date inside Adriel. If the report has no date column, the sync fails instead of importing partial data. The fix is to add a date column to the report in The Trade Desk, then wait for the next export and sync. Once the export includes a date column, the import completes normally. Why don’t Adriel’s daily, weekly, and monthly time views apply to this source?
The Trade Desk My Report is not partitioned by date within Adriel, so the platform’s built-in daily, weekly, and monthly time-grouping views are not applied to it. Date behavior instead follows the report’s own date column. To group by time period, the report itself should be configured with the appropriate date granularity in The Trade Desk, and the resulting date column drives how the data reads in dashboards.Related
