Why do Impressions and Video starts show the same number?

Unity Ads does not report a separate impression count. The Unity Ads data source populates Impressions from the same video-start figure it uses for Video starts, so the two metrics always match. This is expected: for Unity Ads inventory, an impression is counted when a video ad begins playing. Either metric can be used interchangeably, and dashboards that combine Unity Ads with other data sources will show identical values in both columns.

Why is my Unity spend shown in USD?

Every Unity Ads app is reported in USD, regardless of the native billing currency configured in Unity. Spend and all cost-based figures are normalized to USD when the data is brought into Adriel, which keeps values consistent when Unity Ads is aggregated with other data sources on the same dashboard. There is no per-app currency setting for this data source.

Why is older Unity data incomplete or inaccurate?

Unity Ads report data is served from cached daily performance snapshots, and only the most recent window is refreshed on an ongoing basis. Data is reliable within that active sync window; figures from further back can be incomplete or slightly off because they reflect the snapshot captured at the time rather than a fresh pull. Adriel imports up to 365 days of history when the data source is first connected, and because the data is cached, the longer the data source stays connected, the more historical data is retained. For the refresh windows and retention details, see the Unity Ads data reference and Data history and retention.

Why can’t I break Unity data down by country or platform?

The Unity Ads data source supports splitting reports by the account hierarchy (ad account, campaign, ad set, ad) and by time (day, week, month). It does not offer audience or delivery breakdowns, so there are no country, platform, source-app, or ad-format splits available. Reporting that needs a geographic or platform view is not possible with this data source; the available breakdowns are the account-structure and time options listed in the data reference.

Why do my ad set and campaign numbers look identical?

Unity Ads has no ad set entity in its account structure. To keep the standard ad account, campaign, ad set, and ad hierarchy consistent across data sources, the ad set level mirrors the campaign it belongs to. As a result, the ad set breakdown returns the same rows and figures as the campaign breakdown. This is expected behavior, not duplicated data.

Why can’t I see video completion metrics?

The Unity Ads data source surfaces Video starts as its video-engagement metric, alongside spend, impressions, clicks, and installs. Completion-based video metrics such as completions or completion rate are not available through this data source. Reporting that depends on completion counts is not possible with Unity Ads in Adriel; the video engagement available is the start count.
