Before you connect
The following are required:- A WhatConverts account in good standing.
- An API Token and API Secret issued from the WhatConverts account or agency settings. Both are sent together as HTTP Basic auth credentials.
- The WhatConverts account that owns the leads to be imported. Agency-key holders see a list of profile-scoped accounts at connection time.
- Lead tracking already configured in WhatConverts. Only leads recorded by the platform will appear in dashboards.
Connect WhatConverts
1
Obtain the WhatConverts API credentials
Sign in to the WhatConverts dashboard. Open the account or agency settings and generate or copy the API Token and API Secret pair.
2
Select the data source
On the Data Sources page, search for WhatConverts and select it.
3
Enter the API credentials
Enter the API Token and API Secret into the corresponding fields.
4
Select the account
Choose the Account to connect from the list of accounts the credentials can access. Each account becomes a separate data source.
5
Submit
Click Submit to complete the connection. The initial sync pulls the last 390 days of historical lead data and runs in the background; initial data availability can take up to one business day.
What gets imported
The connector imports individual lead records — one row per lead — including date created and last updated, lead type (phone call, text message, web form, email, chat, appointment, event, transaction, other), lead status and state, source, medium, campaign, and content, sales and quote value, contact and caller details, call duration and status, call recording, call transcription, spotted keywords, profile, tracking and destination numbers, and the spam flag. Country values are normalized to ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes during ingestion, and records are deduplicated by lead ID. For the complete list of metrics, breakdowns, and field semantics, see the WhatConverts data reference.Troubleshooting
The connection is disconnected with an 'Invalid credentials' error
The connection is disconnected with an 'Invalid credentials' error
A WhatConverts HTTP 401 response is mapped to
INVALID_CREDENTIALS and automatically disconnects the data source. Reconnect via Connections → WhatConverts → Reconnect after regenerating or correcting the API Token and API Secret in WhatConverts.Lead recordings show but cannot be played
Lead recordings show but cannot be played
The recording cell renders an audio URL built from the account and lead identifiers. If playback fails, confirm that the call recording exists in WhatConverts itself; only leads with a populated recording produce a playable cell.
Lead Summary is empty
Lead Summary is empty
Lead Summary is extracted from the AI summary field on each lead. When the dashboard breakdown is set to All, Lead Summary is intentionally returned as empty because it is a per-lead attribute. Switch to a per-lead breakdown to see it.
Country values do not match the WhatConverts UI
Country values do not match the WhatConverts UI
The connector normalizes country values to ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes (for example,
US, KR, GB). Already-valid two-letter uppercase codes pass through unchanged; unrecognized values are returned as-is.Related
