Connect X (Twitter) Ads
1
Authorize an X account
On the Data Sources page, search for X (Twitter) Ads and select it. Click Authorize app to grant Adriel access to the X account, using an account with admin access to the target ad accounts.
2
Select the ad account
On the data source settings, choose the Ad Accounts to connect.
3
Submit
Click Submit to complete the connection. Initial data availability can take up to one business day.
What gets imported
The connector imports the full campaign hierarchy (ad account → campaign → ad set → ad), standard performance metrics, engagement metrics (likes, retweets, replies, follows, unfollows, media engagements, poll card votes), video metrics, and conversion data from the X Pixel covering both web and mobile (MMP) events. For the complete metric list including nested conversion sub-types, breakdown coverage, and known limitations, see the X (Twitter) Ads data reference.Troubleshooting
Not all ad sets are appearing
Not all ad sets are appearing
When an X Ads account has more ad sets than fit in one API page, the connector currently raises a pagination error. This is rare but should be reported when seen.
Some conversion metrics show zero
Some conversion metrics show zero
X exposes conversion metrics nested by attribution sub-type (post view, post engagement, order quantity, sale amount, and a general metric value). The general metric value is intentionally skipped for every conversion event except purchases, so any non-purchase event with that sub-type selected will be empty.
Ad names appear as full tweet text
Ad names appear as full tweet text
When an ad lacks an explicit name, the fallback chain uses the tweet card name, then the tweet name (if not “Untitled”), and finally the full tweet text. Tweet-style ads can therefore surface with the full tweet text as the ad name.
Token expired or revoked
Token expired or revoked
OAuth 1.0a tokens do not auto-expire but can be revoked. Reconnect via Connections → X (Twitter) Ads → Reconnect and authorize again with the same X account.
