Before you connect
The following are required:- A CrossTarget account with API access enabled.
- The CrossTarget API Key for that account. The key is issued by CrossTarget and is sent on every report request, so anyone holding it can read the account’s reports.
- Campaigns actively running on CrossTarget. Only data the API exposes will appear in dashboards.
Connect CrossTarget
1
Obtain the CrossTarget API Key
Sign in to the CrossTarget admin portal, locate the API access section, and copy the API Key for the account.
2
Select the data source
On the Data Sources page, search for CrossTarget and select it.
3
Enter the API key and name
Paste the key into the API Key field, then enter a display Name for the data source. This name is shown in dashboards and connector lists.
4
Submit
Click Submit to complete the connection. The initial sync pulls the last 90 days of historical data and runs in the background; data typically appears within one business day.
What gets imported
The connector fetches daily CSV reports across three report types — display, video, and CTV — and flattens them into one shared schema. Each row carries date, campaign group, campaign, ad, inventory, ad size, channel, and platform identifiers, plus the full CrossTarget metric set: impressions, viewable impressions, clicks, spend, video viewthrough at start / 25% / 50% / 75% / completion, installs, app opens, purchases, purchase revenue, and 14 custom event counters. Video viewthrough metrics are populated only in video and CTV rows; display rows leave those columns empty by design. For the complete list of metrics, breakdowns, schema details, and refresh behavior, see the CrossTarget data reference.Troubleshooting
The connection fails immediately after submitting the API key
The connection fails immediately after submitting the API key
Verify the API Key was copied without leading or trailing whitespace and that API access is enabled on the CrossTarget account. The key is sent as the
auth_key query parameter on every report request, so any mistyped character causes authentication to fail.Data is not appearing after connection

The initial fetch covers the last 90 days and runs asynchronously. Allow up to one business day for the first sync to complete. Subsequent refreshes run daily at 22:00 UTC and rebuild the most recent 3 days.
Video metrics are zero for some campaigns
Video metrics are zero for some campaigns
Video viewthrough metrics — start, 25%, 50%, 75%, completed views, and viewable impressions — are returned by CrossTarget only for video and CTV campaigns. Display campaigns return empty values for those columns by design.
