Where dashboards fit
For a deeper walkthrough of teamspaces, workspaces, and roles, see Workspaces, teams & roles.
Getting started
1
Create a teamspace
Teamspaces are the top-level container for dashboards. Common patterns:
- Agency client separation — one teamspace per client, so each client’s data sources, dashboards, and members stay isolated.
- Regional teams — one teamspace per region (for example, North America, EMEA, APAC) so each team works only with the data sources they own.
- Brand-level reporting — one teamspace per brand inside a multi-brand company.
2
(Optional) Add folders to organize dashboards
Folders are helpful when a teamspace will hold many dashboards. For example:
- Q1 Reports, Q2 Reports, Q3 Reports — by reporting period.
- Client A, Client B, Client C — under an agency teamspace, one folder per client engagement.
- Acquisition, Retention, Brand — by marketing function.
3
Create a dashboard
Open the teamspace (and folder, if used), then either start from the Template gallery or create a blank dashboard. See Templates for how to pick a template.
4
Add widgets
Click + Add widget in the top-right of the dashboard. Pick the widget type from the panel and place it on the grid. See Customizing dashboards for the full add and arrange flow, and the Widget library for what each widget does.
5
Assign data sources to each widget
Open a widget’s settings and choose the data sources to read from. Only data sources available to the dashboard’s teamspace appear in the picker. A widget shows No data available until at least one data source is assigned and the metric and breakdown selections produce results.
Start from a template, or start blank
The Template gallery ships with prebuilt dashboards covering common reporting needs. Templates are organized by role, by company type, by dashboard type, and by the data sources they use. Pick a template and the dashboard is created with widgets and KPIs already arranged — then customize the data sources and styling. To start fresh instead, create a blank dashboard and add widgets from the catalog. For the full template walkthrough, including custom templates, see Templates.Save behavior at a glance

Permissions and access
Dashboard editing is gated by workspace role. Members with View only can read but not modify. Members with View and edit can change layout, settings, and add or remove widgets. Admin unlocks workspace-level settings and member management. See Permissions and access for the role matrix and how to limit folder access.Related concepts
